Masha, you embody femininity and sensitivity. How do you balance the public life of a Playboy model with the personal, introspective work of an artist?
Thank you for your kind words. Balancing my public life as a Playboy model and my personal work as an artist is certainly a journey. I find that both aspects complement each other in unexpected ways. Modeling allows me to embrace my femininity and confidence, which I then channel into my art. Meanwhile, solitude provides a space for reflection and deep creativity. It’s all about setting boundaries and being intentional with my time, ensuring I nurture both sides of my identity.
Your abstract creations reflect the fluidity and intensity of life. What events or experiences have most influenced your artistic style?
My artistic style has been shaped by a variety of experiences. Travel has opened my eyes to different cultures and perspectives, while personal challenges have taught me resilience and the beauty of vulnerability. The intensity of emotions, whether joy or sorrow, often finds its way onto the canvas. I also draw inspiration from nature—its ever-changing forms and colours resonate deeply with me, and I strive to capture that fluidity in my work.
You are active in dance and fitness. Do you see body movement as an extension of art, and how does it help you express yourself?
Absolutely! I view body movement as a vital form of expression, much like painting with my body. Dance and fitness allow me to connect with my physical self and release pent-up emotions, which in turn fuels my creativity. The rhythm and flow of movement inspire my artistic process, helping me translate feelings and energies into visual forms. It’s a holistic approach that enriches both my art and well-being.
You describe sensuality as a profound energy. How does it influence your art and daily life? What does being a force of nature mean to you?
Sensuality is indeed a powerful energy that infuses both my life and art. It’s about embracing my body and spirit, celebrating the richness of existence. In my art, sensuality emerges through colour, form, and texture, inviting viewers to experience emotions on a deeper level. Being a force of nature means embodying authenticity and passion, allowing myself to be unapologetically me, and inspiring others to do the same.
How do you navigate societal expectations and stereotypes about women while striving for freedom of self-expression through art and sensuality?
Navigating societal expectations can be challenging, but I believe authenticity is key. I aim to break down stereotypes by embracing my sensuality and expressing it through my art. It’s about reclaiming the narrative and showing that femininity can be both powerful and multifaceted. I hope to inspire others to find their own voices, encouraging dialogue that celebrates individuality and fosters freedom in self-expression, regardless of societal norms.
