You’re known for your vintage fashion aesthetic — how did your love for vintage style first begin?
I got into vintage style back in Ukraine when I was auditioning for Karin MMG agency. Most agents voted me out as I was too short for a runway walk, except one guy who said: “She’s cute. She’ll be great for pinup photoshoots.” Thanks to my pinup style portfolio I became a cover girl and participated in lingerie fashion shows.
What inspired you to start sharing your natural beauty philosophy on social media?
My interest in holistic medicine is inspiring. I’ve been studying Ayurveda books since I was 7. Later my friend introduced me to oriental medicine. As I was discovering herbs and formulas, I began testing them on my friends and family. My mom’s face turned 10 years younger after I gave her a custom-made decoction. And she was taking it for only 2 weeks. Over time I became a holistic beauty expert.
On Holistic Beauty
How do you personally define “natural beauty” in today’s world?
“Natural beauty” is not only about preserving your original look, without plastic surgeries and cosmetic enhancements. It’s about accepting and embracing your uniqueness. AI is changing the game too, so representing your real self instead of creating a virtual self in social media is important. “Natural beauty” is about using the power of nature to become more beautiful. E.g., take cascara sagrada supplement to shrink belly fat instead of semaglutide shots.
What are some daily holistic beauty rituals that you swear by?
I massage my body with a dry brush daily – it improves lymph circulation and boosts your skin glow. I drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice every morning to burn fat. A cup of chamomile tea before bedtime is a must for good sleep. That’s basic stuff. I reveal more secrets in my Instagram blog @inessalee_
Are there specific foods, supplements, or herbs you integrate into your lifestyle for glowing skin and vitality?
Absolutely! Every morning, I eat spinach as it’s rich in iron and vitamin K that women need to maintain healthy hormone levels. I drink a cup of pork bone broth with seaweed for lunch to boost collagen production and have a bowl of rice for dinner to flush down excessive fluid from the body.
My favorite supplements are ginseng extract for slim figure and spirulina powder for beautiful skin. And, of course, maca root for firmer muscles.
Skincare routines can be overwhelming — what’s your number one piece of advice for keeping it simple and effective?
My number one choice is gua sha facial massage: no gadgets can do a better job when it comes to improving blood flow and lymph drainage. Just mix a few drops of vitamin E oil with hyaluronic acid and rub it into your face to improve massage experience. And voila! You’ll get tightened well-moisturized skin in just a few minutes.
On Social Media & Influence
Your followers see you as a role model for authentic living. How do you stay genuine in a space often filled with filters and perfection?
When I make reels, I don’t stage them, I just film them on the spot. When I sing Betty Boop songs, I don’t rehearse, I get into singing right away. Studio pictures are rare as well, unless it’s editorial photoshoot. I wear minimum or no makeup in many of my TikTok videos. I feel like natural content appeals to my followers the most. I still use filters for color correction, but I don’t use the ones that change facial features.
What’s the biggest misconception about holistic beauty you’d like to clear up?
Many people think it’s too good to be true, others believe it’s simple: you pick a few supplements off the shelf and become skinnier, younger and prettier overnight. However, it works magic only with individual approach when nutritionists and beauty experts pick the right supplements for you. Also, you need to integrate herbs and vitamins with healthy nutrition and sports. So holistic beauty is a life concept that requires a complex approach in order to bring the desired result.
Looking Ahead
Where do you see the “natural beauty movement” going in the next few years — and what role do you want to play in it?
I hope more people will reconsider turning into “clones” and replacing their identities with AI. I want my social media to be part of this global self-realization process. Eventually AI bubbles will burst, and artificial beauty standards will be demolished by natural beauty. My message is clear: beauty and youth come from good health and can not be replaced by the external cosmetic procedures.
