Doctor, model, and Miss Grand Paraguay — Sharon Capó Nara embodies the harmony of beauty, intelligence, and purpose. From the runway to the clinic, she proves that elegance and impact can go hand in hand

Sharon, you combine the roles of a doctor and a model. How do you manage to balance such different worlds, and what helps you maintain that harmony? How do your medical insights influence your perception of beauty, self-care, and aesthetics?

Balancing the worlds of medicine and modelling has been one of the most enriching experiences of my life. While they may seem like complete opposites, both require discipline, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the human body. My background in aesthetic medicine allows me to approach beauty with a focus on health and authenticity — I believe true beauty begins with self-care and self-respect. This harmony keeps me grounded and enables me to empower others, both inside and out.

You represented Paraguay on the international stage and became Miss Grand Paraguay. What opportunities have opened up for you since winning the title? What do you see as your mission in this role?

Representing Paraguay and holding the title of Miss Grand Paraguay has been an incredible honour. Since winning the crown, I’ve had the chance to work on meaningful causes, expand my platform globally, and connect with people from diverse cultures. My mission has always been to be a voice for change — whether through education, empowerment, or advocating for health and inclusion. For me, it’s about using the spotlight to make a genuine difference.

Emirates Fashion Week sounds truly inspiring! What was the most exciting moment for you on the runway? What message did you want to share with the world about your country through your presence and fashion? Which of the collections you walked for at EFW left the strongest impression on you and why?

Emirates Fashion Week was a dream come true. One of the most exciting moments was stepping onto the runway knowing I was carrying my culture with me. With every walk and every look, I wanted to showcase the strength, elegance, and warmth of Paraguayan women. Each designer brought something unique to the table, but one collection in particular stood out for its bold vision and flawless execution — it truly felt like art in motion. That show reminded me why I love fashion so much: it’s storytelling without words.

You’ve said that true beauty lies in helping others. How do you embody this principle in your life? How do you use your public presence to inspire women to care for themselves — not only externally, but also internally?

I truly believe beauty begins with kindness and the desire to uplift others. In my daily life, I try to embody this principle through my work as a doctor and via my social media platforms — by promoting not just physical self-care, but also emotional well-being and confidence. I want women to understand that they are worthy of love and care, exactly as they are. Empowerment begins with how we treat ourselves, and I hope to inspire that from a place of sincerity and lived experience.

What is the next step in your career that you dream of taking — in medicine, fashion, or perhaps something entirely new?

My dreams continue to evolve. In medicine, I aim to keep expanding professionally and exploring new areas where science, beauty, and well-being intersect. In fashion, I hope to keep growing as a model and to represent Latin America on international runways. But above all, I dream of building a legacy that shows you don’t have to choose between intellect and glamour — you can be both. You can be everything.
