Sabina, thanks to your project more than 100 girls have already been placed in modeling agencies in the United States. Could you tell us more about this project and the agency you are currently creating? What makes your approach different, and is there a success story that has stayed with you the most?
Yes, many participants — both adults and children — have already gone through my project “Become a Model”, and a significant number of them have signed contracts with modeling agencies. For me, this is the main indicator that the project truly works.
At the moment, I am opening my own modeling agency. Its goal is to discover talented individuals and help them build sustainable careers: working with agencies, attending castings, and securing real projects.
What makes my approach different is that I don’t simply provide theory or fragmented knowledge. I guide each student step by step through the entire process. I help them build a portfolio, prepare for castings, understand the industry, and learn how to earn within it. For me, it’s not just about education — it’s about tangible results, ensuring that a person can confidently enter the industry and begin working.
Your modeling camps — are they more about education, adventure, or giving participants a real career push? What happens behind the scenes?
The camps are intensive offline training experiences — short, but highly immersive. For a few days, participants are fully immersed in the modeling industry.
We collaborate with professional photographers, makeup artists, and stylists, conduct masterclasses, and create a large amount of content. In just three days, participants not only gain knowledge but also build their portfolios, learn to work in front of the camera, and gain practical experience.
At the same time, it’s a powerful networking environment. Participants connect with industry professionals and establish valuable contacts. And of course, they genuinely enjoy the process.
What matters more in a model’s career today — age, appearance, measurements, or media presence? How has the industry changed with the rise of social media?
Today, personality is becoming increasingly important. A model’s energy, charisma, character, and ability to connect with the camera are what make them truly memorable.
Appearance still matters, but it is no longer the only defining factor. The industry is now looking for individuality — people with a story, a distinct presence, and authenticity.
Media presence is also playing a growing role. The ability to manage social platforms, share your life, and engage an audience has become an important advantage. A successful model today is not just visually appealing, but someone who knows how to express themselves and build a connection with others.
What is the most common myth about the modeling industry that you encounter?
The most widespread myth is that only age and height matter. Many people believe that if they didn’t start at 18, it’s already too late. But this hasn’t been true for a long time.
The industry has evolved significantly. Brands are now looking for diversity — in age, appearance, and personal stories. It is completely normal today for people to enter modeling at 30, 40, or even later.
There are entire segments of the industry where mature models are in high demand, especially in advertising and commercial projects. What truly matters now is not your age, but your personality, confidence, and how you present yourself.
What advice would you give to those who want to start a modeling career? What should their first steps be?
The most important first step is creating a high-quality portfolio. A portfolio is a model’s business card — it’s the first thing agencies and clients evaluate when deciding whether to move forward with you.
It’s essential to have professional digitals and test shoots that clearly show your appearance, emotions, and individuality. Once you have that foundation, you can start applying to agencies, attending castings, and gradually building your career.
